A Journey of Growth
It’s a journey that I am proud to share.
Becoming the person I am today has definitely had its ups and downs. It’s been a long and interesting one, that a textbook could not have taught me.
Throughout, I have experienced and learned many things including life experiences that I can pass on to help support you achieve your dreams and desires.
Comfort Zone & Beliefs
Stepping out of my comfort zone was not easy. In fact it was tremendously challenging. Because I had such strong beliefs but not ones that were accepted in society or served me in the right way.
I really had to push myself out of my comfort zone and break through other people’s judgments.
Not only that, for a long time I struggled with self-confidence, bullying, not quite fitting in, and not feeling truly valued for who I am.
Have you ever felt like that?
One thing that I did have to my advantage was determination and resilience – with the support of my mother, who took the time to listen and comfort me – I managed to take small steps toward the life I wanted.
Having a clearer vision of what I wanted and being prepared to take the leap I was able to take on new experiences and learn. I followed my dream and passion! But even then there were many challenges ahead…
Career Based Mental Health
My career began as a professional figure skater – eventually becoming a primary school teacher.
Both of these brought about their own mental, physical and emotional challenges which especially affected my mental health. Because however glamorous the skating life was, it really affected me psychologically without even realising. Furthermore, looking back at all the pressures of maintaining weight, having the right image and fighting against discrimination was quite damaging. At the time I just simply brushed it under the carpet as many of us do.
My career as a teacher was also not the vision I had hoped for. With pressures, from leadership, Ofsted, government, and parents; having no proper support when things got difficult, I soon found myself on an uncontrollable, emotional roller-coaster.
I was deeply unhappy. I became someone I didn’t recognise nor like very much.
One day, something just clicked inside and I realised I no longer wanted to feel this way. I had to change something in my life. Because I wanted me back, the energetic, bubbly and positive person that I used to be. So, I took a leap of faith; thew in the towel with no savings, no job but loads of debts and a mortgage. Because the only thing that made sense was to address the issues causing me to struggle. To let go of the fear I was being judged and to regain my self-confidence and self-worth.
The bravest thing I did was to ask for help! And if you’re reading this, congratulations on realising you’d like help too.

As your coach, I will help you bridge the gaps between where you are and where you would like to be. We’ll start by talking about your goals and aspirations and discover what’s holding you back.
Together we’ll work out the best way for you to move ahead. Then we’ll create a plan to help you get there. I’ll break each goal down into small, manageable steps and will be there to support and encourage you along the way.

A friend of mine introduced my to life coaching and it truly inspired me as I could see the great benefits and results in this. I knew that this would be a great additional skill to my repetoire as a Teacher, so I trained up as a Performance Life Coach.
I came across NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) as a CPD and what incredible tools and techniques it has. this would be perfect for myself but also children who suffer from stress, anxiety, confidence issues and much more. So I decided to become accredited.
When I left the teaching profession due to mental health issues and I was undergoing my own counseling and therapy, I had a Aha! moment where i knew without a doubt that I wanted to coach around mental health & wellbeing. I hired my own life coach who supported me a great deal and I knew I wanted to help others in the same way.
Knowing that I had a experienced coaching and different types of therapies and tools like CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), I wanted to add to my skill set and became qualified as an NLP, Kinetic Shift, EFT, Mindfulness Practitioner and Hypnotist to my skill set.
Experiencing NLP myself and how positively it impacted my life, I knew that it would be an excellent skill set to have within my own coaching business. I saw first-hand how I could help my clients gain more clarity and move forward. Most importantly, I also saw how NLP can help address fears, phobias, limiting beliefs and build confidence and so much more.
Kinetic Shift, a form of rapid hypnosis and WOW! I had never expected such a powerful, instant impact. I knew this would take my coaching to the next level and that I had to gain the qualification. And that is exactly what I did. Experiencing Kinetic Shift myself during my training completely changed my life. I now see and act upon situations differently.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Tapping) has such an emotional empowerment. I love acupuncture and it’s benefits, and EFT is basically that, without the needles and can be done at anytime, anywhere! Myself and my clients have had huge breakthroughs using this technique.
I believe that having a greater set of skills in different therapeutic services can provide my clients with more options to help them reach their goals and desires, with a much more positive transformation. Everybody is unique and responds differently, and by using a range within my practice has brought about incredible results for my clients.

I’ve always had a great curiosity for people and the way our minds work. It’s fascinating to discover what holds people back and what drives them forward to achieve their dreams.
As long as I can remember, I have always been a great listener. My friends would often offload their worries to me, seeking advice when they were blocked or struggling with ideas and decisions. And they still do!
I have a natural ability to help people see things from a different perspective, helping them to take the steps they need in a new direction.
My mission is to support you; to help you to discover all possible options that will lead you to take action and create the healthier mind and body you want, so that you can live the well-balanced and fulfilled life you desire.
I truly believe that we can have it all – that we can do what we want, when and how we want, while remaining true to ourselves. Having strong mental health plays a huge part in achieving that, and that’s where I can help you.
