Uniting the power through combing Affirmations & EFT can be magical.
Now, those of you who know me, know that I am a huge fan of Affirmations and truly believe in the power they can have and the impacts that they can make on the way we feel, think and then act. Also, I use EFT a lot with my clients, a sit is such a great simple tool to learn and use whenever you might need to. I have had truly transforming results with both, adults, teens, and children.
What I would like to share in this blog is for you to know how and why these two techniques, together are a power tool combo! Combining Affirmations and EFT helps to release resistance to your affirmations and raise your vibrations so that you naturally begin to become more connected to the affirmation to be true for you.
First, let me briefly explain what EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is and what Affirmations are. Then I shall go on to explain the magic of the two, Affirmations and EFT being a power tool combo.
What is EFT?
EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as Tapping. This technique is done by tapping on what is called Chinese Meridan Points. These are acupressure points on the face and the body where gentle tapping is applied (without the needle).
Tapping is done by gently using the index and middle finger to tap on specific points (face and upper body). When we tap on these points it helps to improve the energy flow in our body. When energy is stuck or blocked it causes us all kinds of problems such as negative thoughts and feelings, from increased stress, anxiety, and fear to, often physical pain.
EFT Tapping Points
So, what are the tapping points, you ask me?
- Top of the head
- 3rd eye – middle of the forehead
- Eyebrow (the thick point)
- Side of the eye
- Under the eye (gently on the bony part)
- Under the nose
- On the chin (the crease part)
- Collarbone (Gentle tap the collarbone at the base of your neck)
There are additional tapping points that can be added for example:
- Side of the thumb
- Side of the index finger
- Side of the middle finger
- Side of the ring finger
- Side of the little finger
Quickfire EFT Tapping Points
I recommend that for EFT affirmations you do a shorter round only using these main tapping points…
- Top of the head
- 3rd eye
- Side of the eye
- Under the eye
- Under the nose
- The chin
How to begin tapping?
First, you begin by setting up a statement that you want to focus on. In this situation, it is a positive affirmation. You begin tapping on the outside of your hand (known as the karate chop point). Here is where you say. For this blog post, that would be an affirmation.
*I personally like the EFT affirmation sessions to be more upbeat and to be able to go through a whole round quickly and easily by doing several rounds to be truly effective. Note that there will be certain tapping points that you may resonate with more. For me, I love the collarbone. Sometimes, you may want to tap on one point only and that is okay too. But I recommend that you initially try all the points first.
*When clearing blocks, I do recommend that you do use all the points, for example, if you are feeling sad, scared, angry, clearing a phobia, clearing a past emotional event…
What are affirmations?
You might say to me that ‘I keep hearing about affirmations, but I don’t get them. What is this that everyone is talking about?’’ Affirmations may seem to be a ‘buzz word’ constantly being thrown around and whilst this might be when done with intent and true purpose, affirmations can be really empowering.
Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts and feelings. When you repeat them often and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes.
Affirmations are positive statements usually in the present tense, such as I am Enough, I can do this, I believe in me, I have all the skills now that I need to achieve XYZ, etc.
For me, I have found affirmations to be incredibly powerful in my own life and business. I believe that it’s important to fill our minds with as many self-love thoughts that support us to be the best version of ourselves and achieve the things that we desire in life.
Here are some of my favourite affirmations that I use daily…
- I am worthy
- I am enough
- I love who I am
- I love and accept my flaws
- All is well in my world
- I’m always in the right place at the right time
- Time is always on my side
- Every day in every way, my life gets better and better
- I am more than enough, and I am always enough
- I am loved
- My business is a huge success
- I constantly create a life I love
- My income is constantly increasing
- I am strong and healthy
- I love and accept my body as it is in this moment
- I’m successful in all areas of my life
Take time to reflect on all the positive thoughts and feelings you wish to create so that these statements can become your power.

Getting specific with affirmations is key
Try to get really specific and create affirmations that support you with current goals such as…
- I easily find the time to do the things I enjoy | I have the time to go for a walk every day | I have time to prepare healthy meals that I enjoy | I have time to see my wonderful family /friends…
- I am fully prepared for a productive business meeting | I am fully prepared for today’s meeting, and I have the most amazing team of people supporting me.
- It is easy for me to focus on my priority task for today | It is easy for me to focus on completing this blog post | It is easy for me to focus on completing my accounts | It is easy for me today to focus on planning this meeting.
Use this useful power question “What do I want?” So many of us are really good at focusing on what we don’t want, but we have to train ourselves to really focus on what we do want instead. If something is showing up in your life that you don’t want, ask yourself, “If I don’t want this, what do I want?”
Remember: Fill your mind with the thoughts that support you and do it throughout the day, every day. The more often and consistent you are the easier it gets and it becomes part of your natural behaviour. Affirmations are not something that you say once i.e., in the morning and then the rest of the day, switch back to your default thinking. The key is the intention and being consistent.
The Law of Attraction- Stop resisting and start allowing
Before I dive into the Power of the Affirmations and EFT Powerhouse Combo, I want to mention the Law of Attraction which many of us have heard used as part of our daily lifestyle.
When I was doing my law of attraction something that really stuck with me above everything else was, that if you have clearly asked for what you want, and it is not showing up in your life then you are RESISTING IT. This is something that I came across a lot when reading the work of the well-known Bob Proctor. Bob read a book when he was 26 years of age that changed his life: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Bob is best known for his New York Times best-selling book You Were Born Rich (1984) and is also a contributor to the film The Secret.
The theory is that if you ask for something, the Universe has to create it for you, your job then, is to allow it into your life without judgment.

So, when you use EFT to tap on the affirmation, you help to release resistance to the affirmation being true for you. Now, I’m not saying that what you want will show up as soon as you do the affirmation and EFT tapping, but what happens is you open yourself up to allow the possibilities and opportunities that are out there.
When you tap, you begin to raise your vibrations by creating higher and better feeling emotions. This then helps a great deal to attract the things you want.
My recommendation is to encourage yourself to have fun with the process of this great Powerhouse Combo of Affirmations and EFT. The more you do this, the more you release any resistance and the negative energy vibrations. You will start to put yourself more into that wonderful place of allowing, self-awareness and self-acceptance, and you become more and more of a match for what you want.

The Powerhouse Combo – Affirmations and EFT
This is what you have been waiting for… On to the magic of the Powerhouse Combo of Affirmations and EFT. ‘Magic?’ you ask! Okay, it’s not actually magic but sometimes it feels like it is. Combining Affirmations with EFT is incredibly powerful, and it has been a huge part of my own positive transformation, not only in my personal life but in my business too.
Many people, over the years, have told me that when they say an affirmation, it feels like a lie and that they feel stupid. For example, maybe they say, ‘I am rich’ and they are really in debt, so their subconscious mind says ‘That’s not true or more likely some harsher words. The fact is we need to remember that our mind is an incredible organ that is capable of so much. We don’t truly actually know its true capacity and potential but what research tells us is that we each hold our own power to choose, and make a choice that will either empower us or not achieve the things we want.
Firstly, I would encourage you to create slightly more believable affirmations – Something that resonates with you and that you truly want. This is what I call the ‘Set Up Affirmation’.
– I’m now building wealth. This will be more acceptable for you in your current state rather than I am rich
– Once you feel more comfortable with this Set Up Affirmation, you can then go for the ideal ‘I am rich | I am super successful in all areas of my life | My business is a huge success | I am a millionaire…
Let’s sum it up – Affirmations and EFT
- Affirmations are positive statements that support you – Fill your mind with them throughout the day, every day
- EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques work by improving the energy flow
- When you combine Affirmations with EFT, you help to release resistance and raise your vibration (feel better)
