My Coaching Tools & Techniques
As a coach, I am qualified in many different coaching therapies, tools and techniques. Each and everyone of us are unique and we all respond differently. Which ones I’ll use with you very much depends on your individual needs in how you will respond and the goals you wish to achieve.
Here’s an overview of what’s involved with the main coaching strategies I use.
Neuro Linguistic Programming NLP
Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP for short, uses language and other types of communication to positively influence your brain’s behaviour. It is a process used to positively rewire unwated behaviours and patterns to more productive ones.
NLP examines how you process thoughts (Neuro), the language you use (Linguistic) and how these affect your behaviours (Programming). Often, a negative behaviour is the result of unhelpful thoughts or words that you attach to a particular situation. Our environment and past experiences can have a huge impact on these.
By gaining an understanding of how you interact with the world through your thoughts, language and behaviours, I will help you ‘recode’ the way your brain responds. We’ll work together to uncover your unhelpful thoughts and language for difficult situations and come up with positives you can use instead to change your behaviour.
Neuro Linguistic Programming is a very effective, quick and long-lasting therapy to help you make positive changes.
Did you know that your subconscious mind controls 90% of your behaviour?
Usually, your unhelpful behaviours are learned in your childhood or during other difficult times in your life.
At the time, they were useful to keep you ‘safe’ in those situations. But they are probably not appropriate or helpful behaviours anymore.
This is where hypnotherapy comes in. It will help you discover the root cause of your limiting beliefs and behaviours and enable you to overcome them through positive visualisations. I use what is called Rapid Hypnosis which is a fast talking and listening process to help get right down to the core of the issue.
Don’t worry, you can’t be hypnotised against your will. During each hypnotherapy session, you are in a calm, relaxed state and fully aware of your surroundings. It’s very much like the calm state you are in just before you fall asleep.
What can Hypnosis help with? Overall it helps address your Fears, Thoughts, Emotions and Behaviours:
Kinetic Shift is a rapid and highly effective technique often used in junction with the hypnosis technique that can create quick but long-lasting change. It’s often a revelation for those who think change is a long and difficult process!
I tend to use Kinetic Shift with hypnosis that will help you change negative patterns so you can instead focus on the positive. It can address all the symptoms above and much more, just like with Hypnosis, EFT and NLP.
It really is a powerful hypnosis technique that will bring about helpful transformational change and give you the freedom to feel great and achieve your goals.
Emotional Freedome Tapping EFT
The Emotional Freedom Technique – EFT, is a really simple but highly effective tool to help you release negative thoughts and behaviour patterns. The therapeutic effects of this technique are recognized around the world.
It is often referred to as ‘EFT Tapping’ or simply as ‘Tapping’. EFT involves you tapping or rubbing specific acupressure points on your body, while repeating affirmations along the meridian lines of Chinese medicine. This will then help you to remove the negative energy or associations that you have with unhelpful thoughts.
EFT is very simple to learn and a great way to reframe negative beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviours into a positive and helpful mindset. We’ll use the technique together in your sessions and I’ll teach you how to use it yourself, so it’s there whenever you need it.
One can use EFT tapping for anxiety, weight loss issues, pain, stress and many other issues.
I may use other tools with you as well such as the traditional coaching process to support and dive deeper. Remember your coaching with me is bespoke to you and designed to fulfill your specific needs, so that you can achieve the results you want. It is a two way process and your commitment and ownership is key to success!
